Frequently Asked Questions
Which grade do I register my student for?
School year programming grade levels are designed for the grade your student is currently in. When registering your child for CTC camps, please select the grade that your student is currently in or will complete by June 9, 2025, not the grade that they will be entering. If you have questions or want to explore alternative options, please contact us at 612.874.0400.
What’s your refund policy for in-person camps?
Refunds can be requested up to 2 weeks before the start of programming but will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. No refund will be issued if a student is registered for an age-inappropriate program, and CTC staff determine it to be an unsuccessful fit. Full Refund Policies
Is financial aid available?
Yes, our ACT Pass program applies to all our education programming. You can apply here.
What should I bring to class?
We recommend students bring a water bottle and any additional supports such as a manipulative that they’ll need to support their learning and engagement. A welcome email will be sent a week before your camp begins with further information. Please note: to ensure the safety of all of our students, we have a strict no-nut policy for both peanuts and tree-nuts (including hazelnut products such as Nutella).
What should students wear?
We recommend students wear clothes that are comfortable and that they can easily move around in and shoes that are secured to their feet and are not open-toed. For students wearing skirts and dresses, we suggest wearing some type of shorts or leggings so they can still move freely in all activities.
How do you ensure child safety?
There is nothing more important to us than the well-being of the young people we serve. Our child safety policies are a centerpiece of our culture and our day-to-day activities. This is an area where we will never say “enough” but will instead strive to be better today than we were yesterday and even better tomorrow. Our protections include mandatory background checks and a “rule of 3” so no staff or volunteer should ever be alone with a student in a private space. Full policy details and additional information
Can you meet my student’s access needs?
We strive to create inclusive, accessible, and equitable learning environments for all young people and are committed to working with families to meet individual access needs. Contact us at education@childrenstheatre.org or 612.872.5100 to discuss your student’s needs and how we can best serve them.
